Ongoing Works

Henry Street: Road closure eastbound currently in place to facilitate footpath works as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), diversion in place

Henry Street: Footpath & parking restrictions in place to facilitate kerb re-alignment as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), no impact on local traffic

Sheare's Street: Parking restrictions currently in place to facilitate footpath replacement as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS).

Grattan Street: Full closure northbound currently in place from the junction of Sheare’s Street to the junction of Peters Street to facilitate re-construction work as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), diversions in place - please see www.transportforcorkcity.ie

Half Moon Street: Lane restriction currently in operation to facilitate hoarding installation for repair works to Opera House (Cumnor Construction)

Smith Street: Full closure currently in place from the junction of Phoenix Street to the junction of South Mall  to facilitate the redevelopment of No.85 South Mall (PJ Hegarty Construction)  – ** this closure will remain in place until October 2018 **

Ballyhooly Road: Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1800hrs from the junction of Gordon’s Hill to the junction of the North Ring Road to facilitate the Ballyvolane to City Centre Cycle Route Scheme (MGOS), delays expected - ** this will remain in place until December 2017 **

South Mall: Parking restrictions in place to facilitate the painting of No.15 South Mall (Barry Sheehan Painters)

Douglas Street: Full closure westbound currently in place from the junction of White Street to the junction of Dunbar Street to facilitate footpath renewal (Lagan Asphalt), local diversion in place - ** this will remain in place until December 2017 **

Togher Road: Road closure inbound in place from 0600hrs – 1000hrs from the junction of Tramore Road to the junction of Clashduv Road to facilitate road lining (Traffic Dept), diversion in place

Emmett Place: Full closure in place from 1130hrs – 1930hrs to facilitate the Jazz Festival Market 2017 (Goldiefish)

Ballinlough Road: Full closure in place from 0930hrs – 1800hrs from the junction of Willow Lawn to the junction of Churchyard Lane to facilitate duct installation (Virgin Media Ireland), diversion in place

Dragon of Shandon Event:

The following roads will be closed from 1400hrs – 1930hrs to facilitate the event:

Church Street, Dominick Street, John Redmond Street, Exchange Street, Bob & Joan's Walk, Old Friary Place

The following roads will be closed at 1900hrs to facilitate the event:

Shandon Street (southbound), Pope’s Quay, North Main Street, Adelaide Street, Castle Street, Liberty Street, Daunt Square, Cornmarket Street, Kyle Street

Expect delays on North Mall, North Gate Bridge, Bachelors Quay, Kyrl’s Quay, Grattan Street, Mulgrave Road, John Redmond Street & Roman Street

 

Oliver Plunkett Street: Full closure in place between 1100hrs- 1700hrs near the junction with Smith Street to facilitate drainage works (Drainage Dept, CCC)

Cornmarket Street: Road closure in operation (see event above) until 0200hrs to facilitate the installation of Christmas Tree bases (MGOS), diversions in place

Emmett Place: Road closure in operation from midnight – 0600hrs to facilitate the installation of Christmas Tree bases (MGOS), diversions in place

St. Patricks Street:  Stop/Go in operation from midnight – 0600hrs to facilitate the installation of Christmas Tree bases (MGOS)

Western Road: Lane restriction in place from 0930hrs – 1600hrs near the junction with Gaol Cross to facilitate construction of footpath crossover (Roads Maintenance, CCC)

Woods Street: Full closure in place from 0930hrs this morning from the junction of Lynch’s Street to the junction of Sheare’s Street to facilitate works as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS).

South City Link: Lane restriction in operation outbound from 1930hrs – 2330hrs to facilitate manhole cover repair (Ryca)

Ballinlough Road: Full closure in place from 0930hrs – 2330hrs from the junction of Willow Lawn to the junction of Churchyard Lane to facilitate duct installation (Virgin Media Ireland), diversion in place

Endsleigh Park: Give/Take in operation from 0930hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate sewer connection (Substruck)

Well Road: Stop/Go in place from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate new domestic water connection

Lancaster Quay: Bus lane closure in place from 0700hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate concrete pour at

Ziggurat Apartments Development (BAM)
